I AM NOT A ROBOT - A new play

I'm Victoria, founder + Artistic Director of Manchester based Bluestocking Theatre. We're a grass roots working class theatre company which I started in response to the lack of great stories being platformed by and about women. When we don't see female stories on stage and screen it has real consequences that ripple across society. It's my belief we have such gender imbalance and violence against women because we're given much less opportunity to connect with women authentically as Human beings. We deserve brilliant, truthful, funny, heartfelt, life affirming stories about women that are fresh, urgent and say something about what it is to be alive today. We seek to cross boundaries and connect, so unify in the truth, we are One Humanity with shared experiences that cannot be denied. 

Our next project I AM NOT A ROBOT tells Karina and Beth's tale, two mates who win a luxury holiday to a technologically advanced world where it's all fun and games until they come face to face with the dark side of A.I. Exploring class, female friendship and the rapid acceleration of A.I, this is a comedy that asks what it means to be Human, and when it comes to tech, how far is too far?

We've got a great, talented and dedicated team of actors and creatives but no budget. Our team deserves to have their skills, time and energy rewarded and to just be supported as artists. So I've created this Crowdfunder to do just that, anything we can contribute to the pot means more money for the actors those who made this project happen.
