Aim: Collapse isn’t inevitable; unless we fail to act. Help make the film that will show solutions for people & the planet to thrive together

Most documentaries highlight the problems. Ours will reveal the solutions and visions for a new future.

Humanity vs. Capitalism is a hopeful, 90-minute feature documentary about the systems that shape us — and the ones we can shape in return. It’s about the real paradigm shift we all know is needed. It explores how we move beyond an economic model built on perpetual extraction and exploitation, and towards something regenerative, just, and deeply human.

This isn’t theory. It’s already happening.

  • An Indigenous family in Six Nations, Canada, fighting for clean water after decades of neglect.
  • A cooperative cocoa farm in Peru reimagining global trade through shared ownership and regenerative soil.
  • A post-growth experiment in France, where circular design and repair are rewriting the meaning of success.

These are just some of the stories at the heart of Humanity vs. Capitalism.

This film isn’t about tearing anything down. It’s about revealing what’s already being built:

  • Regenerative economies
  • Indigenous stewardship
  • Post-growth business models
  • New definitions of value and success

People are hungry for a different story. And the truth is, it’s already being lived.
A revitalized humanity is unfolding in plain sight.
Humanity vs Capitalism helps you see it — and spread it.

This cinematic documentary unfolds in four acts:

  • How Did We Get Here? – The origins and myths of capitalism
  • Future Shock – What happens if nothing changes
  • The Way Forward – Degrowth, regeneration, and redefinition
  • Ideas in Action – Real people and communities already building what’s next

Filmed across 15+ countries, featuring thought leaders such as Yuval Noah Harari, Kate Raworth, John Fullerton, Nancy Giordano & Riane Eisler and voices from the frontlines of Indigenous and grassroots movements like Eriel Deranger, Dr. Lyla June, Tina Stege and more, Humanity vs Capitalism will also blend aerial cinematography, immersive footage, and animated sequences to help viewers not just understand — but feel the possibility of change.

This is a paradigm story.

We believe the root of today’s biggest crises — from income inequality to ecological collapse — is a way of thinking.
A worldview.
A system that treats everything and everyone as extractable.

But we also believe that system is not inevitable.
There are alternatives. And this film is a window into them.

We’ve already raised over £300,000 through grants and early donors in North America. But, this is a story that demands global representation.

Today, we’re asking you to help close the gap.
We need £100,000 to contribute towards:

  • Complete filming and post-production
  • Score, edit, and finish sound design
  • Launch our global distribution and education campaign
  • Make the film freely available to low/no-cost audiences worldwide

With an award-winning team and international distribution already secured, every pound you give goes directly toward finishing and launching the film.

Support the film that reframes the future — and helps communities everywhere see what’s possible.

Please give: £500 goes a long way, yet is less than what most of us spent on something we didn’t need last year.

If giving money isn’t possible, please share this page to help us reach more allies. It matters more than you know.

This is more than a film. More than a fundraising campaign.

It’s an invitation to co-create a story the world is ready to hear — and help it spread beyond the screen into systems, communities, and culture.

Directed by Amos Carlen and Aline Robichaud, co-produced by Paul Cadieux. Our award-winning team has produced Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated, and internationally distributed documentaries. We believe in the power of story to change the systems we live in — and to invite a new kind of future.
