Based in Headingley, north Leeds, Headingley United FC aims is to make football as accessible and enjoyable as possible for beginners and experienced players alike. We are a football club for players of marginalised genders, run by people of marginalised genders.
We have one competitive 11-a-side team and two development teams who play 9-a-side matches, so whether someone has played all their life or never kicked a ball before, everyone is welcome. We foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere that focuses on creating a safe space for people who might not always have felt competitive sport is for them, whatever the skill level they’re playing at.
We're completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money to help cover our running costs - as an independent club there are a lot of behind-the-scenes costs to pay, so any donations you can send our way would be greatly appreciated!
