The Real Junk Food Project new storage facility

Aim: To enable us to acquire a fit-for-purpose storage facility for The Real Junk Food Project, Twickenham!

The Real Junk Food Project Twickenham first opened its doors in East Twickenham in June 2018 with a simple aim of turning surplus food from local supermarkets and cafes into delicious meals for the local community served in a warm and welcoming setting. Since then, the team of 80+ volunteers has fed an amazing 104,532 bellies and saved 299 tonnes (data til March 25).

Having grown from one site one day a week to 5 locations across the Borough, our storage and distribution requirements have changed significantly, and we are in need of a dedicated fit for purpose central space from which we can service each of our Cafe locations across the week.

We're raising funds for this new facility and are excited about its potential to step-change how we support each of our locations, and in turn, the many visitors we welcome every week across our sites.
