I'm Amanda Martin - Labour's parliamentary candidate for Portsmouth North and I'm asking you to help me win this seat at the next general election.
It's clear Portsmouth North needs change - and my task is a big one. I’m up against sword waving Penny Mordaunt. I’m up for the challenge! Campaigning is in my DNA, it’s who I am and I know Labour can win here again.
I'm already campaigning across the city, speaking to thousands of residents with local dedicated volunteers. Residents tell me everyday they never hear from our MP, everything feels broken right now and nothing works.
Since 2022, my Conservative opponent has received over £100k in private donations through her local party and for her leadership campaign.
I don’t have any big backers so I’m having to raise my own funds.
I'm asking for help because I know that with a well-funded campaign, backed by the enthusiasm and hard work of our brilliant volunteer team, we can win here and win the country for Labour.
The general election has been called and I need to ramp up the campaign activity and ensure that we can keep this momentum going over the next few weeks. Please give what you can. Let's win this together!
