0Advancing the welfare of animals in more than 50 countries, Humane Society International works around the globe to promote the human-animal bond, rescue and protect dogs and cats, improve farm animal welfare, protect wildlife, promote animal-free testing and research, respond to natural disasters, and confront cruelty to animals in all of its forms. We focus on helping the greatest possible number of animals and saving those who are suffering from the most severe abuse. We rely on donations to invest our time, effort and resources in ways that will make a real difference to animals across the world. We rescue and care for more than 100,000 animals a year - but with every rescue, we also consider the underlying causes and seek to change the bigger picture. Our rescues and direct care programmes respond to today's cruelties; our education, legislative and policy work prevent tomorrow's.
