Housing, land and crops for North Devon

Aim: Help establish land that supports Devon's people and animals alike. A place to grow fresh produce, build local housing and support animals.

In the heart of North Devon, the dream of a sustainable life—where families thrive, food is grown locally, homes are within reach, and animals roam freely—feels increasingly distant for many. With house prices rising by more than 20% over the last five years and the average home now costing over 11 times the average salary, many local families are being priced out of the communities they’ve called home for generations. Meanwhile, access to affordable, locally grown food has dwindled, with small farms struggling and food miles stretching ever longer.

As a North Devon local I believe in changing that narrative, one vegetable at a time!.

The Vision is simple but powerful: to establish land that supports North Devon's people and animals alike. A place to grow fresh produce for our neighbours, to nurture the soil and our health, to offer truly affordable housing for local families, and to provide open, natural spaces where animals can exercise and flourish.

Every purchase, every show of support, brings me one step closer to making this vision a reality. You’re not just supporting land—you’re cultivating community, care, and a better future.

By engaging with this cause, you are helping fund support the initial start-up in this venture, a piece of land to begin building a private farm home to support growing vegetables with plans to open a shop, alongside pastures for dog training, walking and for locals to keep horses.

From here I hope to have purchased land large enough to apply for planning to start my venture in re-establishing woodlands, food production, safe spaces for animals and building affordable homes for local people, this, I hope will be able to help form the contract of sale.
