To assist local women with water boreholes & irrigation facilities for their community garden in an effort to maximise income.

by Gibril in London, England, United Kingdom

Due to sprodaric rainfall and unpredictability of it thereof in large parts of sub-Saharan Africa ss a result of climate change / related factors, farmers and women groups have seen their crops and turnovers continue to tumble.

While there are no readymade solutions to the climate factors, the plan here is to help community groups mitigate crop failures with regards to water scarcity. We have seen in instances where boreholes or irrigation facilities are installed, it has resulted in all year round cultivation with high yields and incomes for these women and their families.

A tractor will help simply cultivation toward mechanisation long term. All funds raised here shall be ploughed directly to buy solar / irrigation/ borehole facilities and other farming tools for these communities - one village at a Time.
