We're still collecting donations

On the 31st October 2024 we'd raised £5,640 with 99 supporters in 51 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

 New stretch target

All funds raised will be used to refurbish the cricket facilities at the club.

Who are we?

Established in 1847 Horsforth is one of the oldest cricket clubs in Yorkshire. We continue to play our cricket in the Airedale and Wharfedale Cricket League of which we became a founding member in 1936.

We have four senior cricket teams, two women’s teams and a thriving junior section with age groups ranging from All Stars for 5 to 8 year olds onto U9s and all the way to U18. We are open and inclusive and passionate about growing the game for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are raising funds to replace the all-weather nets so that we can provide more opportunities for people to get active through cricket. The current nets were installed in 2009 and have outlasted their predicted lifespan, however they now need a complete refurbishment ahead of the 2025 season.

How we’ll spend the money raised

All monies raised will go towards the costs of refurbishing the all-weather cricket nets.

Community impact

We provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get active through cricket and welcome them and their families as part of a friendly and supportive community.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
