HORLEY LIONS CLUB (CIO)

The Horley Lions Charity Club have been supporting local Charities & local communities for 60 years.  The way in which they do this is to manage a key number of Annual Fundraising Events that bring all of the local communities together.  The Key Events include Dog Show, Skittles Week, Bonfire & Firework Night as well as visiting 223 streets over 17 nights around Horley with Santa & his helpers.  The Club has 36 active volunteer members who work tirelessly to make sure our events are fun, friendly & safe for everyone.  Supporting the Lions means that we can continue to help those that need it in our communities.  Apart from our Annual Events we also initiated our WOW campaign (warm over winter) where we apply for funding grants to enable us to support households & individuals in our communities who are struggling to pay their Gas & or Electric costs.   Working on a referral basis we work very closely with the Churches of Horley Food Bank as well as the Community Development Team, Citizens Advice, School Link workers and the social housing Trust.  Working closely with these groups ensures that we get to the people who need help the most.  None of this would be possible without your kind donations.
