Aim: We’re opening a charity coffee shop to fund starter packs for kids in care—every cup/sale supports a child’s first day with dignity.

I’m a kinship foster carer, and I’ve seen firsthand how heartbreaking it is when a child enters care with nothing—no pajamas, no toothbrush, not even a teddy to hold. These moments stay with you.

That’s why I’m launching Hope&Roast, a small charity coffee shop with a big mission: to fund starter packs for children going into care. Each pack will include essentials like toiletries, pajamas, books, and comfort items to help ease the fear and uncertainty of their first night.

we also aim to provide work experience for care leavers aged 16+ to help them get valuable experience needed to start their independent lives.

Every donation will help us open our doors and start making these packs a reality. You’re not just helping open a coffee shop—you’re giving a scared child a little piece of comfort, right when they need it most.
