Aim: To buy a van to convert into a home and to re- establish my jewellery business.

Like many others, I have had a very tough few years. I got made redundant before the outbreak of the pandemic, then went to live with my parents where I was able to secure some work. However, during this time I became ill and had to go to hospital, then a few weeks later I broke my ankle. I lost this job due to these things and also had no income coming in as it wasn't a permanent and I wasn't entitled to any sick pay or benefits. Then Covid hit, the work dried up and I wasn't able to go on a furlough scheme as I was not working at the time. Before all this I had a permanent job, rented my own home and had never had any trouble getting any work beforehand. Now, I can barely pay the bills.

When I did find some work, with cases rising, I had to isolate due to a close family member receiving a devastating life changing diagnosis and having to have urgent hospital appointments. If I contracted Covid, then they wouldn't be able to have these appointments. A close family member also died unexpectedly, another has cancer, other things like that, and now I myself have Covid after being very careful.

My parents are downsizing and moving and there will be no space for me. At my age though I shouldn't be living with them and it was only ever meant to be short term in the first place.

I am trying to remain positive and do anything I can think of to get myself out of my current situation. I would like to buy a van to convert into a home, so won't have to isolate as much and can get more work and a bit more independence back. If I am successful, then I have somewhere I will be able to park it.

I would also like to re establish my mini jewellery business which had been going well, but I had to stop due to lack of funds. This would enable myself to create another source of income. If I am successful with this project then I can also use the van as my business office and creative area as well as having a home.

I know it is a lot of money, but would be eternally grateful if anyone would be able to donate any money at all, and give me a second chance in life. Thanks.
