FAMILY SUPPORT

Donate to this charity

Home-Start Leeds works across the Leeds City Council area - we are trusted and known for our support of families by those seeking support, the Voluntary Sector and statutory agencies; and we have started to provide some services in Calderdale.
About us - Established in 1987 we provided services citywide supporting some of the most disadvantaged families struggling with complex/multiple needs such as mental health, domestic abuse, learning difficulties and substance misuse.
We offer a unique Home Visiting Service - we recruit and train Volunteers to visit families in their own homes to offer emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs.
Our Services
We deliver a range of complimentary services that support from pre-conception with a focus on the My First 1000 Days; and we provide Perinatal Dad Services – for Dad’s and those identifying as the Non-Birthing parent – as we recognise the important part they play in a child’s development.

We work holistically with the whole family :
*Coordinators provide professional ‘caseworker level’ support to families to support them with the changes they want to make
*Volunteers work restoratively 'with' parents helping to build confidence, resilience and coping skills to improve wellbeing and family life’, which supports positive outcomes for their children.
