Holmer Green 3G Artificial Football Pitch

Who are we?

Holmer Green Sports Association and Holmer Green Football Club are working together to make this 3G football pitch project a reality. Based in Holmer Green, Buckinghamshire we exist to enable people from the wider local community to enjoy sport.

The Football Club was formed in 1908 and HGSA more recently in 1968, we have a long association with the local area and are well placed to manage the provision of this new 3G pitch facility.

Over 300 people from 6 years to seniors play for HGFC each week and the new pitch will allow even more to enjoy the benefits of physical exercise.

Community impact

Our clubs support sporting activity in the local community. Holmer Green Sports Association manages the clubhouse. Sports played here include cricket, football, squash, Padel tennis and bowls. Each sport is independently managed but come together under the HGSA umbrella.

We have an active bar and social club which is open to all and regularly put on community functions such as bingo and quiz nights. We also have a well established fortnightly music club.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are currently finalising our submission to The Football Foundation for a full-size Artificial Grass Pitch, also known as a 3G. SIS Pitches has been appointed to construct the project and a Planning Application has been submitted with a decision hoped for by the end of the year (2022).

We deliver our fully detailed submission to The Football Foundation in January 2023 and provided it meets their requirements, final approval will be given in March 2023 with construction starting soon after.

It is a transformational project for both HGSA and the Football Club providing the latest state of the art all weather football pitch. It will provide benefit for all the community.

Over 70% of the funding is provided by The Football Foundation with a further 17% already identified from another fund. That leaves us to raise around £100k. Some of this we hope will come from other third party funding organisations but as a Club we have targeted to raise £25k through Crowdfunding.  

How we’ll spend the money raised

Every penny raised through this Crowdfunder campaign will go towards making the 3G football pitch a reality. 

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
