Hobby Horse Adventures opened on Xmas Day 2024 because of Elowen's (age 10) love of the sport. After 40 events of up to 80 kids at a time we want more children who love participating in these organised events to be able to attend, or continue to attend, even if they struggle to afford it.
Any money raised would be available on a case by case basis to children who are disadvantaged (or have a super power) or are home schooled or have a disability / neurodiversity. They can apply to the fund to buy tickets for the regular events we run which include (but are not limited to)
- Hobby Horse Competitions which include show jumping, dressage to music, mounted games, best turned out hobby horse
- Hobby Horse Cross Country and Picnics / BBQs
- Hobby Horse Camps
- Hobby Horse Championships
- International Hobby Horse Competitions
Our experience this year is that whilst all of our children are imaginative, creative, open minded welcoming friendly children, many of the are also neurodiverse. We want to embrace that and make sure no child is excluded because of financial constraints.
Being a young business run by a mother of 2, the company does not currently run at a profit so cannot currently fund these 'free' places but we would love to find funding to help these children do what they love or discover it for the first time.
All of our competitions are inclusive (references and testimonials can be provided!) and we are not a competitive type of competition! We are all about the fun! Every child receives a rosette in every class no matter their level of success and children are celebrated on the small wins as well as the big. Some of our classes are catered for those that may not excel at jumping eg. Best Turned Out Hobby Horse and Freesytle Dressage to Music. We spot if someone needs extra support and offer that by way of buddying with other children and extra care and attention (or space) where it is required.
Hobby Horse Adventures are PASSIONATE about bringing and experiencing joy with all these children who are so lovely at the events and so suuportive of one another. They all run and jump all day, make friends and go home tired and happy.
Please join us and share us with others.

We LOVE hobby horse adventures! Every event we have attended so far has been absolutely brilliant- totally child focused, inclusive and brilliant fun. Nothing is too much trouble and the organiser Zoe is so friendly and approachable. My daughter started Hobby Horsing this year and can’t get enough x

I really can’t recommend attending the competitions ran by hobby horse adventures. My daughter is a very anxious child especially socially and attending these events have helped with so much with her confidence. They suit children of all ages and abilities and are a fab day out. Zoe makes sure that all children get a rosette no matter where they place which means a lot to a child as they feel they have achieved something.

Having attended a few competitions run by Hobby Horse Adventures I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!
Each event truly caters to everyone, regardless of age or experience. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is always buzzing with excitement. Don’t worry if you don’t have a hobby horse, there’s always incredible ones to borrow and buy!
The main highlight for me is the friendships the kids develop! Encouraging each other, cheering & swapping pony’s and tips! The bond that develops over their love of hobby horsing is just amazing.
The venues are always well thought out usually with great facilities! The stalls set out are absolutely fantastic and any horsey lovers dream!
And the great thing, everyone gets a rosette for their efforts so no one ever feels left out!
Cannot wait for many more events!
