We're still collecting donations
On the 30th April 2020 we'd raised £1,245 with 29 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We need help to survive the COVID-19 pandemic and build on our successes of the last 6 years. We have some great rewards for our supporters

On the 30th April 2020 we'd raised £1,245 with 29 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Background - Hidden Horizons was founded in 2013 and over the last 6 years we have delivered sessions to over 10,000 school pupils and to thousands of people attending our public events. We offer a wide range of outdoor activities including fossil hunting, star-gazing, bushcraft, forest schools, beach schools and much more. We also run indoor sessions and after-school clubs at schools and other groups often with our dinosaurs and stardome.
We have always had fantastic feedback from our events and school sessions, whether that be running primary school fossil sessions, bushcraft sessions for vulnerable adults or birthday parties for 8 - 80 year olds. Whilst we are not a charity we believe in supporting our local community and have always aimed to make everything we do as affordable and accessible as we can. For more feedback and reviews have a look at our Facebook page or our Trip Advisor reviews.
Why are we asking for support - With over 90% of our income coming from schools and our public events, and Easter to the end of August being our busiest period, the COVID-19 pandemic has hit us very hard. This is an appeal to help us survive, so that when normality returns we are here ready to offer the experiences we think everyone will be craving.
Why should you consider supporting - This appeal gives supporters the chance to help us, but also the rewards on offer mean people can look forward to an exciting experience in the future. We have also teamed up with GeoEd to offer some amazing replica fossils with some of the rewards, see the pictures below.
How much are you hoping to raise - We believe we need to raise around £20,000 to ensure we survive without having to sell many of our resources. We are hopefully eligible for some of the Government support but this is not yet confirmed. Due to the nature of our business we are not expecting any significant income for the next four months or so, and normally we would make around 70% of our annual income in this period. The money would be used to cover items like salaries, rent and operating bills, we would also be planning to spend money on a new website and marketing material, ready for when this situation is over.
What happens if you contribute but Hidden Horizons does not survive - We sincerley hope this will not happen, but if it does then Will Watts as owner will ensure all pledges in this project are delivered regardless of what may have happened.
We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
