Become a part of Hey Joe's new home, off Crown St

Aim: We are moving to a new shop off Crown Street & want to bring you the best experience possible in this next chapter of Hey Joe Music & Coffee

We are an independent, family run record shop with over 80 years combined experience working in music retail. We have been proudly serving the community in Brentwood since 2019 & are now looking to move to our new home, just around the corner on Crown Street, already home to some of the best independent businesses in Essex.

Our new home needs a little TLC to be ready for our reopening extravaganza later this year & we would love to make some improvements & expansions on our offering, to be able to bring the people of Brentwood the best possible new experience. Unfortunately there are some big costs involved & we would appreciate any support that can be given to make sure we're able to reopen in style.

We have ambitions to create a much improved vinyl range going forward, as well as increasing the range of vinyl & cds that are available for us to order, plus improved cafe options, with hot food, new desserts, new furniture & a new coffee machine on our list of current priorities.  We also would love to be able to increase our current live music opportunities, as well as the sound equipment we use in store, as well as improve our music offering with new racking & displays.  There are also plenty of other property improvements & security systems to install all of which puts this move well above our current spending capabilities.

We are humbly asking for your help to make sure that we are able to move into our new home as smoothly as possible & to be able to bring you the best possible experience from the day we reopen. Inevitably some of this will need to happen via loans & borrowing, but any support at all that you might be able to donate to ease some of this pain would be such a huge help.
