We need your help now!
Unfortunately we have been experiencing financial strain due to the cost of living crisis and rising inflation. Our operational costs have risen which has created challenges and uncertain times. We have been successful with gaining restricted funds to provide the fabulous, accessible Made-Well you see today. It is our core costs which we need help with to create a sustainable future.
Who are we…
Made-Well is a vibrant, magical and inspirational organisation in the heart of the community. It is a not-for-profit community interest company established in 2007 at West Fishleigh Farm, just outside the market town of Hatherleigh, West Devon. Providing a range of purposeful and positive opportunities for all people in the community especially those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and loneliness.
Made-Well provides enabling and support, community outreach, community initiatives, accessible facilities, therapeutic experiences, 1:1 support, community development, education, and learning.
Connecting with the community…
We know that our project is more than physically bringing people together, it's about connectivity, belonging, safety and support. Made-Well has successfully created a place where people from all walks of life can thrive.
Our community café/hub provides a warm space over winter and we have set up cuppa companions to reduce isolation and loneliness, we provide a safe social space, community library and well-being café. The café gives the people we support opportunities to gain employability skills, social opportunities, community connections and life skills. The library/book swap scheme supports our ethos of connecting people with their communities, providing people with life enriching activities which support well-being.

We need your help, this is why...
Due to the cost of living crisis, rising energy costs and the current economic climate we are seeking a financial boost in these uncertain times. We wish to continue and develop our incredible opportunities and experiences for all. Our community hub is a lifeline for many, we want to ensure there are not unmet needs. We make a number of applications for grant funding towards projects and developing our provision and recently towards running costs due to the cost-of-living crisis.
As a result of the rising costs, we have been undertaking a comprehensive review of our operations and tailoring our service to our evolving client base. We are seeing a demand for our provision and want to ensure we can meet needs.
