Ordinarily, we provide a wide variety of events and services for Hundreds of people with a disability, predominantly adults aged 18 and above. These include regular weekly opportunities as well as large scales events.
We have an amazing team of volunteer ambassadors, all of whom have a disability, who work with our members to tailor what we do, where we do it and how we do it.
The impact we have on our members and their families is clear to see. There has been devastation throughout our dice community during the lockdown and everyone misses attending our events. We help people to get into volunteering, get out of their house, meet friends old and new and essentially support them in many ways to 'Have A Good Day'
Our members don't just enjoy our services, they rely on them. Many of them are finding the lockdown extremely challenging and we are working hard to survive and support in as many ways as we possibly can.
Talking to our members and providing online events will help us to enhance the well-being of a large number of local disabled adults. We have a fantastic reputation locally and our members know us and are excited to hear from us and still take part in our online events. Some of the more socially isolated members who are struggling with their mental health will be attending our day centre where every effort has been made to ensure their safety and our staff.
