Helping a friend recover from a racial attack

Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

The aim is to raise money for my friend whose car was destroyed in a racist attack, and also to help him move to another home.

My friend Joseph is one of the simplest and nicest people I have met. He never fights or complains even if he is forced to do something beyond his work responsibilities. He works as a delivery driver and all of his work mates agree that he is the only one that keeps everyone happy. Unfortunately, he has one problem, he is as brown as they come.

Joseph went out to the park with his family in front of his home, in a town in Yorkshire, and was confronted by a certain individual who asked him what he was doing in a white neighbourhood. Joseph told him that he is a resident. The man accused him of taking pictures of other people around, and while Joseph was obviously not doing that, he apologised and deleted all the pictures in his phone in front of him. The matter did not end there.

The man came that night to Joseph's house with some other men and destroyed his car with huge rocks. He threatened Joseph that his family would be harmed if they do not leave the neighbourhood immediately.

Joseph told the police but they haven't even visited him in 3 days. So now Joseph has to find a new flat to rent, shift his things, and buy a new car. It has to be done fast because the whole family is under extreme stress and fearful of a possible attack on them. He is a delivery driver so he is out of work until he finds a new home and then he can buy a new car otherwise his car would be destroyed again.

I do not think that the majority of people in the UK are racist, but it does not matter what I think. This is a litmus test for Joseph (even though he does not know I am sharing his story here), if you stand with Joseph, please donate whatever you can, I and Joseph would be very grateful. If you stand with the attacker, God bless you.
