Aim: Fund training for young people in Yorkshire in Welding, Handyman & Painting & Decorating. Help me build a team of 50 young people.

by Oliver Walker in Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom

I need funds to build a small business offering mobile welding services, handyman services and painting/decorating. My business aim is to employ over 50 unemployed young school leavers or people from poorer backgrounds aged 16-28 and guarantee them employment in my business in either any of those chosen courses listed above. I will train them, get them qualified and guarantee them a spot in my workplace with job interview training for the young people included. Wages will be paid starting at £15 per hour increasing further over the months and years to come. Full business plans and financial forecasts available. I will have 2 firms which consist of the listed services. Both firms will have workshops with compliance to health & safety standards, coded welding standards & public liability insurance.

There will always be plenty of jobs for the staff as I plan to outsource a marketing team to consistently get jobs for the company as well as platform use of contract work such as MyBuilder.com, etc...

I will fully fund training for CSCS cards and ensure everyone is equipped with a 5 year labourer card so that they are also guaranteed employment on construction sites after their initial training took place in my firms in case they would not like to work at my firms.

This is a great opportunity for the community, councils, parents, investors and charities to help make my amazing idea happen. My project aim is to help young people who are struggling to find work or who have never worked before secure permanent employment in my firms. The next generation have not been given a chance and this is the only guaranteed opportunity you young people will get to enter the construction industry.

I will also be funding for driving lessons and help young people aged 17 and over pass their driving tests fully funded by myself to help them with their self-employment journey.

Staff will be employed and paid under CIS or PAYE weekly.

Registration and Employment forms will be handed out starting 28th January 2025 (6 months to date).

Business is guaranteed to be profitable if project terms are met (scroll to bottom for terms)

Please read the following: (Terms)

If the funding doesn't pass £300,000 by deadline (28th January 2025) then unfortunately the business will not begin trading until 04th September 2027 and all plans will be postponed til that date. Employment for young people begins on deadline only if the fundraising surpasses £300,000. Employment applications are for people aged 16 and over only.
