A change in ownership at a local holiday park, has left the animals of their petting farm with nowhere to go. We have stepped in, and the following individuals are now safely at the Sanctuary...
6 ducks, 4 turkeys, 18 hens, 4 cockerels, 2 pigs, and 1 bunny
But with a Sanctuary that was already bursting at the seams, and a bank account empty from our February feed bill of £800 and vets bills of around £300, we have minimal resources.
We need your help to give them the immediate care that they need.
The hens, ducks, cockerels and turkeys have arrived with bad cases of scaly leg mites. They need to be treated for this as soon as possible to get it under control , as well as full health checks and nourishing food, so that they can focus on flourishing. We can then look at finding them loving homes.
The two pigs are due to arrive at the Sanctuary this week. They appear to have sore skin, and their feet desperately need attention. We need to fundraise to build an emergency enclosure for them, where they can have some outside space and a comfortable bed. This will include fence posts and rails, wire and fixings, totalling around £200.
The bunny is a boy, and has just had his neutering operation, which cost £140. He arrived very withdrawn and depressed, but is showing signs of interest in the 3 long-term resident rabbits, who are in an enclosure nextdoor. We hope to introduce him to them soon.

We are all volunteers here, pouring our hearts, muscles, time and energies into rescuing and caring for these animals. Absolutely EVERY PENNY raised goes straight to the animals - for their food, veterinary care, equipment to keep them safe, clean and healthy, until where possible, we can help them to find their very own loving forever homes.
