I love the idea of planting a forest as people benefit from it as well as plants and animals. I support Wildcat Haven, where Clandarrish Forest in Scotland is about to be logged. It is habitat to the world's rarest cat and these beautiful creatures are about to be wiped out. If only they had people like you instead of the Scottish government and Vattenfall.

Mike Dilger - Dawn chorus bird walk - May 2025

Join Mike Dilger, the TV presenter and naturalist for an early morning bird walk to listen to the dawn chorus and look for birds in and around the ancient woodland at Lower Chew Forest. Mike lives in the Chew Valley so knows the area well and will share his encyclopaedic knowledge of British flora and fauna with you. The walk will be followed by breakfast and a chance to chat informally with Mike. An opportunity not to be missed! Sun 11th May.

Sponsor a Large Canopy Tree

For donations of £5,000 or above, you will have to opportunity of sponsoring one tree in the woodland pasture area of the Lower Chew Forest. These will be standalone broadleaf, large canopy trees positioned in a beautiful pasture, also offering shelter to grazing animals in heat or bad weather. A small plaque near the base of the tree will be offered to mark the sponsorship. Please note that these areas will be planted in the winter of 25/26.

For individuals who are aligned with our mission and willing to donate over £10,000, we are offering the opportunity to partner with us. Partnership funding is critical in helping us establish Lower Chew Forest and leaving a legacy for future generations.
