Our Mission
For the past two years, we have been supporting students in and outside of traditional education through online tuition. TeachAllAboutIT was set up to enable students and teachers with and without disabilities to access and provide the same high-quality online education, no matter the barriers faced in a traditional classroom. As experts in both teaching and online tuition, we are in a unique position to support parents & teachers by providing additional live group classes.
As soon as schools were directly affected by the current COVID-19 crisis we began running weekly online group computing lessons for ages 11-18 and want to ensure that we are able to reach out to more students who might not otherwise be able to spend time "live" with a teacher. Our mission is to enable as many students to access these sessions as possible, regardless of family income. The funding we raise will also help us to continue offering supplementary education to many families in need once this crisis passes.
This project is in no way a slight on the provision from schools, but instead an additional way to support students with computing education by using the skills gained from over 2000 hours of live online education already under our belts!
Each week we'll be providing a minimum of three classes of between 45mins - 1 hour, alongside recordings and resources to use at home. These will include:
- Creative Mode Class: fun with programming
- Stepping Up Class for moving to GCSE & A Level
- Fun with Theory Class: learning computing through art & music
Why aren't classes just free?
As much as we would absolutely love to provide free classes to everybody, like so many others we are a small business that doesn't receive funding for the classes we provide (although we are qualified teachers, we are full-time tutors and not linked to a school). As we are an online business, we don't have the option to apply for government support, but we can use our knowledge and skills to help keep children learning whilst maintaining a basic income and covering the cost of hosting our resources.

Aside from the glow of being a fabulous person, as part of your pledge to support us with this project, you will be offered the opportunity to submit a link or advert that we will add to the TeachAllAboutIT website as a thank you.*
*Please note that we cannot accept sponsorship from businesses providing services not appropriate for children (adult services, gambling, alcohol/tobacco etc). TeachAllAboutIt reserves the right to decline adverts or links in these circumstances.
