First Port Property Services have been the managing agent of The Clock Tower in Surrey and over an extended period of time have failed to fix issues and waste clients monies by poor management and questionable contractors working on the site.
An RTM was formed earlier this year by several owners and with over 60% of owners agreeing removed First Port Property Services from maintaining the building aspect of the site. Whilst a new agent has been appointed, it has come to light from a recent survey that the roof for the building is needing replacement and this is going to cost 34 owners approximately £150,000.
To date, First Port have failed to hand over any funds citing there is nothing left in our reserve funds and so the owners are having to find ££££'s of pounds per flat to get this project sorted out once and for all on top of the usual service charge bills and ground rent.
We are therefore reaching out to anyone that can donate to help soften that figure as whilst we have generated a small reserve fund since a new agent has taken over, it would take several years to reach the £150,000 target needed to complete the roof repairs leaving owners and tenants with further damp and structural issues to keep getting worse.
