Umogidi villagers in Benue state are being murdered and driven off their land by armed bandits. We are trying to feed chidren and families.

In recent reports by reputable sources like the BBC and the Financial Times, the harrowing violence unleashed by bandits on my people in Umogidi village, Benue state, has been highlighted. The gravity of their plight is unimaginable, with acts of brutality that include innocent lives being savagely taken and unthinkable acts committed against pregnant women. Such disturbing content, though shared with me, is too traumatic to post here. This has left every inhabitant of Umogidi village in a dire situation, forcing them to abandon their homes and lands. Without the means to farm, families, including young children, face severe hunger and deprivation, with education becoming an unreachable dream for many.

In light of this, I urge you to contribute whatever possible. Your support is more than just a donation; it's a lifeline for those in desperate need. Here's how far your generosity can extend:

  • £5: This seemingly small amount has the power to feed an entire family for a day in Nigeria. It ensures that children and their families have access to basic meals, offering relief and hope amidst their dire circumstances.

  • £10: Doubling the impact, £10 can sustain a family with necessary food supplies for a whole week. This contribution significantly eases the burden on parents struggling to provide for their children and brings a sense of normalcy back into their lives.

  • £20: With £20, you can support a family's nutritional needs for almost over a month. This not only helps in alleviating immediate hunger but also aids in giving families the strength to face their challenging situation.

Each donation, no matter the size, will be directed to trustworthy individuals back home who are committed to ensuring the funds are utilised to provide food and support to the affected children and families. Your kindness could be the beacon of hope that lights up the lives of those facing unimaginable hardships.

Let's stand together to make a difference. Your support can transform lives and offer a glimmer of hope to those who have lost so much. Please share what you can, and together, we can help alleviate the suffering of my people in Umogidi village.
