Support the Matchstick Piehouse community and former staff to reopen the venue as a radical workers co-op!

by Liv Wynter in London, Greater London, United Kingdom

We have big news from your favourite grassroots venue and members of the Matchstick Piehouse community! Behind the scenes the staff have been working hard to determine the future, and we’re super excited to announce that we will be working towards becoming a workers co-op! We believe strongly that this structure represents the political beliefs and heart of the venue.

We are excited to announce that resident artist Liv Wynter will be stepping in to join our management team and help steer the ship towards a radical future. We will also be working with Sister Midnight founder Lenny Watson who will be offering her co-op knowledge to skill us up as we make the move towards our new structure of working.

In order to make these first steps, we need support from our community to cover wages, equipment, and getting back on our feet. We hope you feel inspired to contribute to our future!

This fundraiser is a new group of community members and former Matchstick Piehouse staff. We are a legally separate entity. We are starting a new venue with the same ethics and cultural aims.
