Help Toto Walk Again – Urgent Surgery Needed

Aim: Toto is a 17-month-old indoor cat with a gentle heart and playful spirit. But on the 21st of June, he had a terrible accident.

On the 21st of June, Toto had a terrible accident—falling (or possibly jumping) from an upstairs window, and landing badly on one of his front paws.

What initially appeared to be a minor injury quickly turned serious. After returning to the vet with a deformed paw and an extended dew claw, x-rays revealed the heartbreaking news: Toto has fractured two bones in his paw. One of the fractured bones is now pressing painfully against the thumb bone, preventing his dew claw from retracting and causing constant discomfort.

Toto needs specialist surgery to realign the bones using pins and wire to rebuild the structure of his paw. Without this procedure, he may never walk properly again. Following surgery, he’ll need another x-ray in six weeks to ensure healing is on track.

This is a devastating financial blow for my dear friend and colleague Suzie Simpson, especially when all she wants is to give Toto the chance to live pain-free and chase toys again.
