Bridge Watch is a volunteer suicide intervention programme that seeks to intervene and keep people safe on the bridges within the city of London. Preventing anyone entering the water enables that person not only to be kept safe but access the help and support they need. The programme is in its first year of existence relying totally on volunteer support. We have been part of the programme since inception and have travelled twice a week on 150 mile round trips to volunteer and offer our lived experience of working within the field of suicide intervention for the past decade.
