Help! The Quirk Space CIC community needs you...

WOW! What a start The Quirk Space has had! 

After an amazing opening in October 2019, we lost the option on our lease and had to shut the doors in January 2020 after just a few incredible months of being open....

BUT we then found a new home (bigger and better!) ... YAY!

BUT then there was a global pandemic...

The Quirk Space is now registered as a CIC (Community Interest Company) and is fully committed to providing an amazing space for people to work, eat, create and come together as a community, but there are significant costs attached to this, which have to be covered, even in this period of closure. 

We have met some incredible people through The Quirk Space and the support that has been received during these tricky few months has been incredible, but now we need your help more than ever...

The Quirk Space CIC is unable yo open at present, but rest assured the full timetable of events and workshops once we open is going to be amazing, the 100% vegan menu is being fine tuned and the space is being redesigned and refitted, ensuring it is fully accessible and fit for purpose and a great place to meet, work and come together as the incredible community we know we are.

As a Ltd company, we are not eligible for government support, and funding options have not yet been made available to see us through this period. 

It has been estimated that the costs of keeping the project alive are approximately £1250 a week and there is potentially another 8 weeks before we are able to open the doors. This means The Quirk Space CIC needs to raise £10,000 to see us through.

Put simply, we have been placed in a vulnerable financial position, with limited opportunities to generate income through traditional means and we are encouraging everyone in our community and beyond who wants to play a part in safeguarding the future of The Quirk Space CIC to please donate generously if you have the means to do so. 

There will be incentives, offers, exclusives and recognition on our 'Human Kind' wall of fame...I am sure we can get through this together and come out stronger on the other side.  

We will keep you updated and are very active on our Facebook and Instagram pages, but safety of our staff and customers is of paramount importance and we will be following guidance regarding reopening.....we cant wait to welcome you all!
