Help The Portland

Two weeks ago our beloved pub suffered a devastating fire. This unforeseen disaster has put us under threat, and we need help to reopen our doors.

The administrative processes can take weeks if not months and  time is a luxury we can't afford. The fire damage has put us in a difficult situation, and as a result we need your help! 

Over the past few years, we've tackled the pandemic and lockdowns to soaring bills and the ongoing cost of living crisis but our village and local community has always had our back.

Now we need a little more help to navigate this difficult time and the challenges ahead.

We would really like to continue our community events and we hope that with a little fundraising we can find a temporary venue to do this.

We also want to continue to support our staff while we work through these challenges. 

We are hugely relieved that no one was hurt and so grateful to the quick response and amazing efforts by all the fire services involved in trying to save our pub and home.
