Help support small businesses affected by COVID-19

Did you know small local businesses contribute almost 50% to total employment? No matter who you are or where you are, we are all impacted by this pandemic to some degree.

We are a team of volunteers who have developed a platform called HelpSaveLocal.com which is a not for profit initiative. We are passionate about helping connect loyal customers to their local businesses who are affected by the coronavirus pandemic. After seeing our favourite restaurants, bars, cafes, yoga studios and personal trainers struggling during government lockdowns we decided to create this service to help our favourite local businesses.

Every business has costs that don’t change regardless of how many customers the business has - things like rent, bills, and employee wages. Without customer income to cover these fixed costs, many small businesses are struggling to stay afloat.

At the heart of our system is the pre-paid voucher system and we’ve found that local customers can’t wait to support their favourite local businesses when they can get back up and running. Customers can redeem the vouchers for discounts, upsizes or anything businesses would like to offer!

We are trying to onboard and support as many businesses as possible. The development, maintenance and support of the website is done by volunteers for free, however, we need funds to scale up our efforts to reach out to the businesses. The funds would be used in advertising and hiring local people to contact the businesses and help with the onboarding process. Any donation, big or small, helps us further our goal of helping as many small businesses as possible.
