1. Prizes and Benefits

There will be one winner in total.

The winner will receive:

• A luxury 2-night wildlife getaway experience, which includes the opportunity to choose from a range of unforgettable VIP animal encounters - whether it's getting up close with giraffes, saying hello to meerkats, or enjoying an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at the vibrant Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
  
  
• An overnight stay at Hex Wildlife Hotel (with up to four guests), to be redeemed by 30th June 2026.
  
  

Included in the stay:

• Complimentary drink on arrival
• Bed and breakfast for two nights
• Free entry into Yorkshire Wildlife Park for two days

The winner will also be invited to enjoy a VIP experience, an exclusive animal encounter or tour, during one of the two days of their accommodation stay, making this a truly memorable wildlife escape.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The winner will be contacted by email within three days of the competition closing date. If the winner does not respond within seven days, another winner will be selected.

Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash alternative is available. Yorkshire Wildlife Park reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the promotion at any time without liability, if circumstances arise that affect its ability to operate the competition as planned.

We will not be responsible, unless required by law, for any loss, changes, costs, or expenses which may arise in connection with this competition.

2. About the Prize Draw

The ‘Win a Family Getaway & Help Rescue Ukrainian Lions’ Prize Draw involves participants donating £5 to The Wildlife Foundation (charity registered in England and Wales, number: 1152642) via Crowdfunder to enter.

One winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries to receive the prize as described above.

• Entrants must be at least 18 years old and UK residents.
  
  
• Complete and valid details must be submitted via the ‘Win a Family Getaway & Help Rescue Ukrainian Lions’ Crowdfunder page by 11:59 p.m. on August 11, 2025.
  
  

Participants may donate:

• £5 for 1 entry
• £10 for 5 entries
• £20 for 12 entries
• £50 for 30 entries
• £100 for 65 entries
  
  

Participants may donate and enter as many times as they wish.

You may also enter without donating by sending your full name and email address via post to:

The competition is organised by Yorkshire Wildlife Park on behalf of The Wildlife Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to making the world a better place for animals: promoting, conserving and sustaining the world’s biodiversity, improving animal welfare and educating and inspiring the public.

Employees, volunteers, agents, and their families from both The Wildlife Foundation and Yorkshire Wildlife Park are not eligible to enter.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park is not responsible for incomplete, illegible, or lost entries.

Use of Funds Disclaimer:

While this prize draw is being run in support of a mission to rescue lions from Ukraine, in the event that this specific rescue becomes unviable, or if funds raised exceed the required amount (estimated at £35,000–£50,000), The Wildlife Foundation reserves the right to allocate remaining or unused funds towards other urgent animal rescue projects or future wildlife rescue operations. All funds will be used in line with the charity’s objectives to improve animal welfare and protect wildlife.

3. How to Enter

To enter:

• Donate a minimum of £5 on the ‘Win a Family Getaway & Help Rescue Ukrainian Lions’ Crowdfunder page and submit your complete and valid details by 11:59 p.m. on August 11, 2025.
  
  

To enter without donating:

• Send a letter including your full name and email address to:

  Postal entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on August 11, 2025. Only one postal entry is allowed per person.
  
  

Late entries will not be accepted.

Your entry must be your own and must not be obscene, defamatory, copied, or in breach of applicable laws or regulations. Entries suspected of being in breach may be disqualified.

4. Selecting the Winner

• The winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries.
• The winner will be contacted via email within three days of the draw closing.
• If the winner does not respond within seven days, a new winner will be selected.
• Yorkshire Wildlife Park is not responsible if the winner is unable to take up the prize.
  
  

5. Liability

Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.

Neither The Wildlife Foundation nor Yorkshire Wildlife Park accepts responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged, or delayed in transit, regardless of cause.

6. Data Protection

By entering, entrants agree that their personal data may be used by The Wildlife Foundation and Yorkshire Wildlife Park solely for the administration of the prize draw. This includes contacting the winner via email and providing prize details.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by English law. By entering, entrants agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
