So my freezer finally upped & died! This time it's the compressor!
To be fair it was at least 30 years old. A new compressor would cost about £300 & then fitting and would take at least 3 weeks for delivery.
Hi my name is Em & I own Eggbuckland Stores. When I say own, 3 years ago I unexpectedly took on a 7 year lease when the shop; my shop, I was working in gave me 2 days notice of closure!!
The shop had been in decline for quite some time. All the appliances were old & knackered, forever breaking down & often held together with wood & string!
Over the last 3 years I have managed to replace 2 double chillers & a number of other improvements, all monies have been put straight back in the shop which means I don't have any money put back for a rainy or a crashy & burny day!
My excess is high & the hoops needed to jump plus the timescale make insurance a (bad) joke!
Whilst lines of credit & finance are unavailable to me ..
So here I am .. I came up with a brainwave!
••• Speed is of the essence. I need a working freezer. Our shop is only as good as the things we sell & the people who shop with us
I need a little help from our wonderful customers.
Rather than asking for donations I wondered if every one who could, could buy a frozen food voucher from us for future use?
A win win situation ????
Thank you : )
