Help Pour get through the Bad Times

Hi folks,

On Friday March 20th we took the difficult decision to close the doors at Pour, reaching the conclusion that we couldn't, in good conscience, remain open and run the risk of being a hub for the spread of the virus, however small that risk might have been. It was a heartbreaking decision, but we're sure it's the right one, as was shown by the governments ruling that bars, pubs and restaurants must shut, which came out mere hours afterwards.

We did consider remaining open purely for delivery, but, with government guidance changing so regularly, and out of a desire to ensure our staff and customers remain as safe as possible, we determined that it wasn't the right time to do so.

Now we're asking for your help. We're looking to the future, to when we are able to open the doors, be it in three weeks, or 18 months, but as soon as it's safe to welcome you back for pizza, beer, and board games. To do this we need to take care of our staff and our business whilst we're closed, so we're asking for a hand with that.

We have a variety of reward levels available that will be redeemable as soon as we open the doors again, and we've also included a “tip” option, which we'll be using to offer free pizzas to any NHS staff.

We're also in the process of sourcing some Pour merchandise, talking to local businesses to share some of the good will. We're thinking badges, t-shirts, aprons, and we'll tweet out when we've sourced them and they're available as a reward.

And, if you can spare a couple of quid for the tip jar, that'll be warmly received as well.  We're well aware that a lot of people are struggling financially right now, so any donations, no matter how small, will be received with gratitude.

Thanks for your support in the past 18 months and especially in the last couple weeks before we closed. We're incredibly grateful and humbled by how much you care.
