Sponsored 1000km trek to support our riding centre

When Covid-19 hit we were in our third year of business and just hitting our stride, lack of foreign holidaymakers, the mainstay of the business is causing hardships to stay afloat and be able to give our horses the care they need.

Unlike other businesses we cannot close our doors and sit it out. The horses need our care every day and the feed & hoof trimming bills do not stop for the pandemic. Debt, lack of income and the ongoing costs of horse care are becoming an increasingly large burdens on us.

We sincerely hoped that things would look much brighter and more positive in 2021 but with the continued restrictions this year it is hard to plan ahead and be sure that our business will pick up and survive.

A core of local enthusiasts and friends helped out last year by sponsoring horses and buying rides in advance. 

Becky the manager of Centro Ecuestre Pegaso  pledges to hack 1000 kilometres in 2021 to raise funds for her small, family run equestrian centre with a herd of dearly loved horses and ponies.

Every kilometre ridden or with a horse walked in hand outside of the riding school will count towards her target.

This year I would like to challenge myself to trek 1000 kilometres help raise the funds that we know will guarantee feed, hoof care and veterinary treatment for our herd. 

Anything that you can pledge towards my challenge of riding 1000 kilometres in a year will help, no matter how small. This is an ongoing challenge throughout 2021 and you can pledge throughout the year. The challenge will end on the 1st January 2022. 

A one off pledge, a monthly pledge, a £ or € per kilometre or set distance will all make a difference.

€5 = one bale of hay

€10= one bag of beet pulp

€25 = one visit to one horse from the barefoot trimmer.

€40= one vets call out.(before treatment)

€100 = essential repairs

We need more bums on saddles in 2021... Another way you can support Centro Ecuestre Pegaso is to ride with us. Being outdoors and requiring minimal close contact, the risk of transmission while riding is low. 

Despite 2020 been such an awful year, the  support we received from our friends & followers was heart warming. We were awarded Trip Advisors "Travelers choice" Award (previously centre of excellence) with a five star rating from our guests. We used the long lock down here in Spain to develop our riding holidays & expand our trekking routes and now can offer more choice including:
