So 3 years ago my father in law suffered from stroke which made him housebound. I look after him everyday with the help of carers in the morning and evening. This meant that I gave up work in able to look after him. I get goverment money in the form of carers allowance. Meanwhile I miss working for a living and earning a form of living wage. So two years ago I found a new hobby and started just messing with automatic wrist watch and with the help of youtube videos learned to fix my first watch. I manage to sell this on ebay. Happy with this new found hobby, I carried on to do more restorations again with the help of just youtube videos. Now 3 years on and with the word of mouth, I've had a few people who has come to me for repairs and restoration work. I am not a qualified technician hence I cant advertise my new found skill. I hve found courses which would help me in pursuing what I would hope is a new found career and would also mean I can be right at home where my dad needs me. I am hoping that by acheiving these qualifications I can help myself getting a living wage to help our household, whilst being able to be around my father in law to help him in his daily needs. I hope to raise funds for the courses and perhaps fund any tools I may need to pursue my new found career.
