It is hard for me to write this but the last year as an artist has been difficult with over a dozen rejections for what I consider exceptional conceptual art projects. As an emerging live artist I know as well that making work makes space for bigger things.

I'm having to raise the  finances needed urgently to ride the ride of art funding which we all know have been challenging in the last year which will be remedied when the UK  living wage for artists funding begins next spring. Nonetheless I am seeking support to keep my practice running for the next six months.

Through this booster fund of £2000.

Arts Practice Matters

1728742230_1000000181.jpg

I am proud to see that my arts practice can inspire others.

My arts practice is a form of self nurture.

In 2021 - 2022 I received Creative NZ artist funding in Nov  2021-May 2022 which led to a string of commissions for Dance Dub Poetry project such as NEU|RON AI.

A Kumina and my first ever commission for a  Play from Theatre Delicatessen. Which took five years of incremental investment and   collaboration to achieve.

#Solidarity Arts

I believe  collectively we call all crises heal . This is given extra leverage if the gift of empowerment is passed on to other valuable sources.

And the cycle of giving and boosting each other up and onwards becomes part of the give.

#Pay-It-Forward

For every crowdfunder donation pledged towards this aim .

Therefore you are welcome to  name a Charitable organization close to your heart  that I can contact to pay your gift forward once arts funding picks up production pace. If you so choose.
