My name is Albina. I live in the UK for the past 18 years. Working as hairdresser in my little salon. Mum Larisa aged 66, been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer 2 weeks ago. She's starting her chemotherapy on the 10th of April.
Over a year ago, she's started to have pain in her stomach, which doctor misdiagnosed with stomach ulcers, prescribed her tablets that didn't help. Then 6 months ago she's requested a gastroscopy, and they didn't see anything. And the blood test that tumour markers were high, but doctors ignored that is well. So, a month ago, she had more test and scans, and gastroscopy done, which results were shocking. When she went to oncologist, the doctor was surprised how they didn't see all this, she said it was there for at least 2-3 years. So my mum was neglected by all doctors and nurses. After all this, she had a plan with chemotherapy, which if we don't pay, it will be the basic one with major side effects. The better one cost £180 for one. If she need to stay in bed afterwards then she has to pay. All transportation, taxi, paying doctors, nurses, all medication, isn't free. I cant even go there, as my passport run out in 2022, and to prove that I'm Russian, it will take 6 months, then renewal takes 3 months. We found oncologist in Moscow that suppose to be the best in Russia who takes patients on to have surgery and best treatment, but its all cost money. I'm helping my mum as much as I can, but one person only can do so much. My mum is still young, and I'm asking for your help to extend her life. Every £ is counts, you could do anonymously, or not. im very grateful for your support.
