- My beloved 11 year old cat Buzz who I valued as a family member passed away on 16th September 2022. He suffered a ruptured bladder and had to be put down. I advised the pets (Vets 4Pets) that I cannot afford any medical fees as I am struggling to make ends meet with high living expenses and two young children under 5 to support. The vet didn’t mention anything about the euthanasia costing anything and I didn’t question her as I was broken that Buzz had no chance of survival. I asked about burial and she mentioned that he can be stored for a week and collected anytime for burial by me. I intended to bury Buzz in my garden. I called the vets two days later to discuss collection. They advised that I would have to pay £200 for the euthanasia and then I could collect Buzz. I was shocked! I said I can’t pay but if they could invoice me or something and I will try to pay at the end of the month when my benefits payment would come in. They refused. Told me to ask a friend or family member for money. I have no one to ask as I have previously consulted with family for money over the last few months as I struggled to make ends meet. They refused to discuss further and said they will not do anything with Buzz until I pay up. Assured me that he will stay in their cold storage until I pay. Please help me to raise enough to bury my Buzz as it is heartbreaking to leave him in cold storage as I struggle to raise funds
