Wivey Pool was established in 1927 and I want to play a small part in raising funds to help maintain this pool for future generations.

Some of you may know that since just after Covid (2020) I made it my mission through the amazing support of the pool to learn how to swim ‘properly’. It was then suggested to me to trial for the wildcats team for a charity swim to raise money for the pool - this was a 10 km swim from Lyme Regis to west bay. A few months later I then went on to complete the Exmoor Open water swim. Which I could never have done without the support of Wivey Pool.  With the pool only being a 5 min walk from my house, i continue to utilise the amazing facilities and continue to look for new challenges. I therefore wanted to get involved in the 1927 Swim Challenge, but with my own twist - I am going to challenge myself to complete the 1,927 lengths a minimum of 3 times (hopefully more) in the next 3 months,  this is equivalent to 52 km per month over the 3 months so a minimum total of 5,781 lengths and 156.5 km, by the end of August.  Any support is greatly appreciated.

I will post updates regularly to update you on my progress.
