I am 61 years of age and lost my mother relatively recently. I have a 19 year old daughter, have been surprised by falling pregnant when I was 41. During the last five years, maybe a little longer, I have experienced pain and shock that has drained my energy and now, having spoken to a specialist, my best foot forward is to ask you all for help.
I have had extensive operations on my spine and multiple spine injections to attempt to control pain. I am allergic to patches. My spinal problems have occurred during the time I nursed in the days that hoists didn't exist. This has resulted in a condition called arachnoiditis, which is very painful and due to all of the other associated issues, reduces my life expectancy by around 5 - 10 years. I have stage 3 Kidney disease, which is as a result of the numerous drugs I take. At this time, I was diagnosed with early stage heart disease, which isn't too worrying. I am a type II diabetic, which apart from being annoying, during a recent illness, whereby I had gangrene in my lower intestines and bowel, my sugars behaving badly, resulted in water behind my eyes.
I could go on, but frankly, this is enough for now, but I rarely without some major illness, unsurprisingly, getting to a GP is proving so difficult, it is a disgrace. When going to see specialists, if I discuss my skin disease or the pains in my arms, then somehow this is not associated with my condition and there is nothing that can be done for me. Apparently, the invisible GP needs to be contacted. I am unsure as to what happened to holistic care.
My wishes are to attend a private clinic to receive injections to withdraw the water from my eyes, I now have had to pay for specialist glasses. My hearing aids are not sustainable, due to otitis externa, privately, I can have hearing aids that do not sit inside my ear. Finally my operation on my intestine and bowel have left me with scarring that is vile. I could get that sorted.
Please help, I am desperate, really desperate and I want to remain happy in my last years of my life. Thank you for reading.
