on 17th march 2024, our pup max suffered from a spinal stroke that left him partially paralysed from the waist down. urgently, we took him to the vet in which they recommended an acupuncture, which we had fully paid for that costed a substantial amount of money.. unfortunately, it was unsuccessful and max did not regain control of his legs again.. but hope is not over yet, we were contacted by the vet saying that after a thorough examination of our last visit, max has been referred for an IVDD surgery, which removes the diseased intervertebral disc in order to relieve the pressure on max's spine, this can also help avoid any spinal issues in the future! sadly, the surgery comes with a substantial cost, we were told it could cost upwards of £5000, pet insurance would be paying off around £1000, so we'd still have £4000 to pay, we are hoping we can get partially some support in paying this off, as sadly I am 17 years old living with a single mother, I am currently working a job and attending school to try raise enough for his surgery, thank you for taking the time to read this!
