’m Lamin Gibba, a fashion student at Newcastle College University Centre, graduating with a BA Hons in Design Practice. After working behind the scenes for three years at London Fashion Week, I founded Jerry J Clothing, a contemporary fashion brand inspired by my journey from The Gambia to the UK. Together with my son, Jackson, I’ve built a brand that merges deep African heritage with modern elegance.

Our vision with Jerry J Clothing is to elevate fashion by creating pieces that represent the "Life of Elevated People"—those who strive for greatness and personal growth. This debut runway show at Graduate Fashion Week is the first step in bringing our vision to a wider audience.

How the Funds Will Be Used

The funds raised will help cover essential costs for the runway show, including:

  • Producing the collection entirely in The Gambia, supporting local artisans and promoting sustainable fashion.
  • Hiring a live Gambian band and performers for a cultural celebration that reflects the fusion of Gambian heritage and British contemporary fashion.
  • Securing the venue, marketing the event, and ensuring an unforgettable experience for the audience.

Your support will enable us to share our story, culture, and creativity with the world, making this runway show a reality and taking Jerry J Clothing to new heights.
