My inspiration came from witnessing the widespread deprivation and neglect of children in my native country, Nigeria. It was Christmas day, and I saw children on the streets looking so sad, unkept, and begging for money for food. It was a very painful and sad moment, I just had a good time with my family and was heading out with families for more fun, and here we are seeing little children, some alone, some with parents, looking dejected. I was immediately compelled to think of how to make Christmas more exciting for some of these children, hence the launch of our Christmas party and other activities to save a child. I then proceeded to establish a free-meal facility and endow a scholarship for film school, from which we now have a graduate, Kelechi Francis, who graduated from Asaba Film Academy, Nigeria. Kelechi Francis, is now an actor, script writer, movie language translator, and film editor, and he is very happy doing his thing now. We went on to launch an annual musical award show called LPCMA (Less Privilege Children Musical Awards). We had the pleasure of having the City of David Orphanage, St. Bananas Orphanage, Mother of Divine Orphanage, and Chicoloba Camp children participate in the event annually. We do organize holiday celebrations and also visit children in hospitals. More details of what we do are available on our website and social media platforms.
To ensure the sustainability of our activities, especially the free meal program, we are turning to the general public for support. Donors and other supporters are crucial to achieving our objective. Children as young as 8 years old are compelled to sell their bodies for just a meal. They are being exploited daily, and some turn to the life of crime, yet go to bed with no hope of going to school or having a decent meal in a day.
I urge the good citizens of the world to help keep the vision alive. The economy has taken a toll on everyone. However, we are determined to continue because the little we do is giving these vulnerable children hope and, in time, providing a safe haven for them, as we hope to provide a happy and safe community in the future.
Both we and the kids are very grateful for your assistance. Help us to help them.
