Each year Elmridge Primary Schools PTA work hard to put on events for our children and families in order to raise as much money as possible to benefit our children and their school.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we are unable to run our normal events this year and will therefore worry we may struggle to reach our annual commitments. We are trying our best to come up with new ways of fundraising for our school and appreciate your continued support! So far we have raised funds through our Halloween competitions, our upcoming PTA virtual quiz night and a raffle. We also have a Winter Walk and Winter raffle planned. However, we still need your help!
Each year we have annual financial commitments (normally agreed in previous school years) with the school that have been agreed in PTA meetings between the staff, committee members and parents.
This year (2020/21) our previously agreed commitments, before we knew about the restraints on running events, total £2,300.
These annual commitments include:
£1,300 - (Reading Solutions License) The PTA committed to paying for reading software for the school that enables students to build upon their foundational skills of phonics and phonemic awareness to develop reading with metacognition. We have had amazing feedback from the school on how much this has helped the students develop their reading skills!
£1,000 - (Annual Curriculum Enhancement Fund) This is used by the school to benefit each year group in ways that they see fit. It is distributed fairly to each year group to help towards costs of school trips, equipment, classroom resources, etc.
We are reaching out to you for your help! We need it more than ever! We would appreciate any donation, no matter how small, to help us ensure we can reach our annual commitments before the end of the school year. Please also share our crowdfunding to your families and friends to see if they would like to help us too!
