We have the chance to win four local seats in Maidstone and deprive the Conservatives of their majority but we need your help.

In Maidstone we have four very good chances to significantly increase the number of Greens on the council and to deprive the Conservatives of their very slim majority but we need your help. We are just £900 short of being able to afford to run a full campaign.

More Green voices are vital for the environment and your support can get us over the winning line in this unique chance to become the main opposition on the council.

Our campaigners and local residents are keeping energy levels high with leafleting and door-knocking all year round. But this costs vital money, and as Greens, we raise all our funding from members and supporters. We don't get donations from big corporations or trade unions.

Since Stuart was elected last year he has shown what a difference Green councillors make. He has brought the impact on our rivers from housing, roads and farming to the attention of the council and gained agreement to review local policies so that those impacts start to reduce. He has also highlighted the problems with bin collections, saved a bus service and helped many residents with issues from across the whole Borough and fought hard on many other issues.

But Stuart could do much more by working with other elected Greens, such as Claire Kehily in Coxheath and Hunton, Mick Summersgill in Marden and Yalding, Derek Eagle in Sutton Valence and Stephen Thompson in Detling and Thurnham. We are actively contesting these four seats after coming a strong second place against Conservatives last time. However they need your support to get them over the line!

There is so much to do to be certain of winning. Every £100 will provide a leaflet for around 2000 households. £40 provides over 1000 calling cards to residents, with £10 an extra 30 posters!

We rely on the dedication and hard-work of volunteers. Please share far and wide with friends and family! Donate generously if you possibly can!

Being ethically funded, we rely on grassroots donations to support our cause. Any generous gift can help bring more green voices on the council.
