Since the first day of the Russian invasion, Kharkiv has suffered an unprecedented level of destruction and civilian casualties. Russian bombs and shells have been aimed at hospitals, schools, ordinary residential houses and infrastructure.
Right now, my father is carrying out his duties as a surgeon at the department for new-born babies at the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Children's Hospital. The infant patients and doctors at the hospital are in urgent need of humanitarian aid - food, water, medicine, baby food, diapers and all essentials. We have also been working with volunteers to get the medical personnel protective equipment. Currently we found vests to be delivered in the end of March. Now we are trying to get enough financial support to get protective helmets as well.
With this fundraiser I am trying to raise 20k where every penny raised will be donated directly to help patients and doctors at the Kharkiv Children's hospital, who have been suffering through these horrible times. These people are living in harrowing, frightening & uncertain conditions and require as much support as they can get to continue to carry out their life-saving work.
