We are looking to raise funds to produce a new original musical discussing mens mental health.

In the year 2018, men’s suicide rates were at 15.2 per 100,000 men – compared to 5.4 per 100,000 women (Office for National Statistics, National Records of Scotland, Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency, 2019).

There is still a stigma around men speaking out about their mental health, up to 40% of men do not feel comfortable opening up about mental health –and a further 22% do not even want to speak to medical professionals (Priory, 2020).

In 2020, we wanted to make a full-length film discussing the issues surrounding men's mental health, but due to the ongoing Covid Pandemic – we opted for a concept of a film. This concept premiered on YouTube as to highlight that it is okay to speak to someone and that there will always be someone ready to listen. We roughly demonstrated what this in-person film was going to look like, and we are now looking to raise the funds to put the film into proper production:

"Time is an odd being. She has one mission in this world: ‘help people’ –whether they want it or not. While this awkward (and sometimes aggressive) approach is not exactly appreciated by some, she is generally well regarded by the locals. To them she is known as ‘The City Owl’, for her wisdom, experiences and her ‘owl-like approach’. Everyday she sits on the same bench at Glasgow Green, scanning the populace and looking for someone to help."
