Help Core Clapton provide a pain-free life

CORE stands for the Centre for Osteopathic Research and Excellence. 

We set up our charity in 2017 with the goal to help people suffering with debilitating, chronic pain. Knowing how beneficial osteopathic treatment can be as a drug-free solution, we wanted to make it accessible and affordable for all, while additionally providing graduate osteopaths mentorship, work opportunities and continuously researching drug-free alternatives to treat chronic pain and improve lives. 

Osteopathy is currently not freely available on the NHS so we wanted to do something to help people in pain, as well as ease pressure on local health services.

Everyone has the right to a pain-free life. This is our belief and the driving force behind our charity.

Why do we need your support?

Unfortunately, like many charities and small businesses, we have been impacted significantly by the Covid-19 crisis with patients unable to visit our clinic for treatment during lockdown. 

Unlike most charities, we strive to be self-financing by hiring our beautiful hall out for weddings and photoshoots, as well as running wellness classes — all of which were abruptly ended by the pandemic.

Since lockdown began we've been offering a free online consultation service to help as many people as possible to manage their pain and discomfort whilst stuck at home. We're pleased to say that our free service helped over 150 people, however the longer this crisis persists, the less sustainable this has been and the more uncertain the future of our charity is.

What are we offering in return?

In return for your help we're offering a variety of rewards, including affordable osteopathy, wellness classes and the opportunity to hire our stunning venue—a 200 sqm Edwardian Parish Hall for your photoshoots, events and even your 2021 wedding, at a heavily discounted rate once we re-open!

Some of our rewards can be redeemed right away, however, some are dependent on government advice and you'll see 'Pay it Forward now, claim later' in the reward description. The health and safety of our patients and our community is our priority and we are slowly introducing opening our clinic whilst adhering to social distancing rules.
